Whispers next to the painting ‘Martin-Siemens Steel Furnaces’
A big factory of great dimensions can be seen. It has a roof made of cranes with hanging industrial hooks. Various ingot- moulds lie on the ground; moulds where cast iron goes into, the way liquid goes into a glass. They are on the floor, amongst tools and wooden cubicles. Up in scaffolding, a man is observing a machine with emerging fire with a tool called a pyrometer, and in the background, the silhouette of more workers can be seen.
