This meteorite is one of the largest known iron meteorites. The Inuit used it for centuries for their own tools.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>There are indications that as early as 3900 B.C. Egyptian, Sumerian and Hittite cultures used this extraterrestrial metal. They called the iron \u201cfire from heaven.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In Egypt it was called \u00abmetal from heaven\u00bb, and it was considered sacred, coming from where the gods came from.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>The first iron to be used in China was also of meteorite origin.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>It is believed that Attila, king of the Huns, also possessed one of these \u201cswords of heaven\u201d.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Of all the riches found in the tomb of Tutankhamun stands an iron dagger, the highest value of all the possessions Pharaoh accompanied on his journey of death.
